Bone & Soft Tissue Tumour Surgery

Dr. Satish Reddy. G was the first fellowship-trained orthopaedic oncologist in AP and Telangana, having trained at two of the world's foremost centres, the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Bologna, Italy, and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, UK. He introduced limb salvage procedures to the region in 2003, transforming outcomes for patients who would previously have required amputation.

Today he manages the full spectrum of primary bone and soft tissue tumours, from diagnosis and staging through definitive surgery and reconstruction, in close collaboration with medical and radiation oncologists.

Limb salvage surgery, preserving the limb while achieving oncological clearance, is now the standard of care for most bone tumours. Dr. Satish pioneered this approach in AP & Telangana at a time when amputation was the default.

Arthroplasty

Joint Replacement

Total joint replacement is one of the most reliably successful procedures in medicine, but outcomes depend heavily on surgical precision, implant selection, and rehabilitation. Dr. Satish has performed thousands of primary and revision arthroplasty procedures, using the latest techniques including robotic-assisted surgery and fast-track recovery protocols.

His arthroplasty training at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide (Villis R Marshall Fellowship) exposed him to high-volume practice in total hip, total knee, and complex revision surgery under internationally recognised faculty.

Robotic-assisted joint replacement allows the surgical plan to be built around the patient's own anatomy before the first incision is made. During the procedure, the robotic system guides bone cuts and implant positioning to within a fraction of a millimetre, far beyond what is achievable by hand alone. The result is a more accurately placed implant, better preservation of surrounding soft tissue, reduced blood loss, and in most cases a faster, more comfortable recovery.

Complex fractures, particularly those involving joint surfaces, those that have failed to heal, or those occurring around existing implants, require a different level of surgical planning and technical expertise than routine fracture care. Dr. Satish is an AO Trauma Accredited Faculty member, trained in the principles and practice of operative fracture management across three countries.

He manages both acute trauma and its consequences, non-unions, malunions, and post-traumatic arthritis, with an emphasis on restoring anatomy and long-term function.
