Common questions

Before your appointment

Questions that come up most often before a first appointment.

Bring all previous X-rays, MRI scans, CT scans, and reports, on a CD, USB, or printed if you have them. Also bring any discharge summaries, operation notes from previous surgeries, and a list of current medications. If you have imaging on a CD, bring the disc rather than just printed films, digital images are more useful for planning. If you do not have any reports yet, come anyway, we can arrange appropriate investigations from the clinic.
No referral is required for a direct patient consultation. You are welcome to book an appointment directly by calling, WhatsApp, or via this form. If you are a doctor referring a patient, a brief clinical note via WhatsApp is sufficient, there is no formal referral form.
KIMS Hospital is empanelled with most major insurance providers including Star Health, New India, United India, HDFC Ergo, Care Health, Niva Bupa, and Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY). Please bring your insurance card and policy documents when you come. For cashless admission, pre-authorisation from your insurer is usually required, this process can be initiated once a surgery date is confirmed.
Allow 30–45 minutes for a first consultation. This includes reviewing your history, examining you, reviewing any imaging you have brought, discussing the diagnosis, and explaining all available treatment options, surgical and non-surgical. Complex oncology or trauma cases may take longer.
Yes. Second opinions and revision cases are actively welcomed. Please bring all previous operation notes, implant stickers (if available), and any post-operative imaging. Failed joint replacement, non-union of fractures, and complications after prior oncology surgery are all within Dr. Satish's expertise.
Yes. For patients travelling from outside Hyderabad, it is possible to share imaging and reports via WhatsApp for an initial informal review before committing to the journey. Send your details to +91 70755 23360 along with a brief description of your problem, and we will advise whether a visit is likely to be productive and what to bring.
