Common questions

About the service

Yes, genuinely free at the moment. There is no catch. Access to a good specialist opinion should not depend on where you live or whether you can make it to a major city. In future, a formal written PDF report, suitable for insurance claims, second hospitals, or medicolegal purposes, will be available as a paid option. The opinion itself will remain accessible.
No, and we will always be honest about this. A remote opinion based on imaging and history can be very valuable for assessing whether a diagnosis is correct, whether a surgical recommendation is appropriate, and whether there are treatment options you have not been offered. But it cannot replace the information gained from physically examining a patient. Where a physical examination is important, we will say so, and you are always welcome to attend in person at KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad.
Every case is reviewed by a fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialist from Dr. Satish's team, matched to your area of concern. For orthopaedic oncology cases, Dr. Satish reviews personally. For arthroplasty, sports, and trauma cases, the relevant subspecialty specialist on the panel reviews the case. You will be told who reviewed your case when you receive the opinion.
The simplest options are: (1) photograph the films against a light source (a window or bright screen) and send the photos via WhatsApp to +91 70755 23360, this works well for X-rays; (2) if the CD contains DICOM files, upload the folder to Google Drive or WeTransfer and share the link with us via WhatsApp; (3) bring the CD in person to your appointment. We do not require high-resolution scans for a preliminary opinion, a clear photograph is usually sufficient to begin with.
Yes, the service is available to anyone in India, regardless of location. If a physical consultation is subsequently recommended, we can advise on the best way to arrange a visit to KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad. For patients travelling a significant distance, we can also coordinate investigations and appointments to minimise the number of trips required.
The formal PDF report, structured for use with insurance providers, other hospitals, or legal purposes, is currently in development and will be introduced in a later phase. Pricing has not yet been set. Existing users who submitted cases during the free phase will be offered favourable terms when the paid tier launches. We will announce this on the website and via WhatsApp to those who have already used the service.
